Day 2 - NH Trip

Early morning

Got up to find it snowing!
Set up the system with one camera. Modified code to shoot with 1 camera.

11:30AM to 2:00PM

Still snowing. Kept all equipment inside van and shot from inside.
Shot 10 sets of images in Station2,2b and Station1.

Evening

Backed up data on DVD.
Processed captured data.
Updated the code to make multiple capture per folder easier.

Ideas:

• Use black and white instead of color.
• Possible use of polarized lens filter.

Discussion with Cathy

• Towards swath - interface needs to be faster.
• System with fewer degrees of freedom.
• Multiple camera covering different areas to form swath of required area.

Observations

• Camera seems to have temperature issues- would stop responding at times.
• Tag and tie up small equipment - lost a PTU allen key!

Towards next trip

• Cathy prepared housing for the camera and the equipment stand.
• Plans to go to the falls area.
